i think we’re coming upon the final ending of that unique epoch — called the 60’s — but really that first place post ww2 that allowed for reflection on what had just gone on and what a different way of living might look like — all infused with a stream of youth and energy. it’s the final closing on that historic opening. it’s not just the thinkers as individuals but the overall space they inhabited. can such space exist again?

Was it Gandhi who said “Be the change you want to see in the world.”? It’s great to have living heroes but sometimes they just ain’t there and you have to make do with what you’ve got.
