  1. Cheers ? (sadly I no longer drink) But I’d rather keep my wits as sharp as your pencils & pens in the coming years. To be dulled and oblivious is part of the reason we find ourselves in this seemingly regressive time, looking at a road pocked with potholes ahead. Serpentine serpentine! And we just might make it through unscathed. It’s comforting to know we’re not alone ?

  2. Alas, I doubt that these «commoditisers» have much to worry about, given that most people – and not only in the US – definitely don’t «look […] at the numbers». A little numeracy goes a long way….

  3. I think the problem is not that the rulers of the universe cannot commodify mutual respect and humanitarian ideals, but rather the market for those is too small to interest them. While much to their glee, the market for blood, guts, and gore cannot be over-saturated.

  4. Don’t forget about me, Comrade. May not be commenting a whole lot but you know I stand in your cheering circle, think you’re an unsung genius and an all around good guy.

That being said, this piece is truly dead on! Once again, Mr. Fish comes to the aid of the frightened but intellectual side of the U.S. who bigly live in these days of white nationalism, bigotry, hatred and ugliness. There is a beauty to Mr. Fish’s work though that suprpasses that ugliness and he will hopefully continue to keep a firm and creative hand moving and grooving through these very trying times. Disconcerted, but not defeated. I’m with ya Fish.

    1. And a delightfully reliable comrade you are, Ms. Linda! Glad to see you up on deck with me again, dancing to the music of a thousand icebergs pirouetting all around us in the dark! And the stars are lovely!

      1. They are all as beautiful as we are willing to make them. With the beauty you provide to a solemn and thoughtful following, I for one, will be dancing my damn fine ass off with you…

  5. First time I am seeing this work and it is wonderful. Your finger is on the pulse of this country.

  6. I agree with Pauline. Your salty eloquence, brutal honesty and astonishing talent are such an inspiration to me.

How you are not a ridiculously famous pop culture icon already is a little puzzling… I predict great things for you, sir.

    Thanks for sharing.

  7. Agreed – this one was brilliant.

  8. You are seriously talented and wise, thank you for what you do.

    1. Thanks for responding, Pauline. I really appreciate it. I’m going to be relying on such camaraderie over the next bunch of years, believe me. Onward!
