    I am honored to be recognized on Labor Day for my service to those who deserve it.

    And why can’t the US have Labor Day on May 1st, the way the rest of the world does, in honor of the events of May 4, 1886, at Haymarket Square in Chicago?

    1. Indeed. If a foreigner dare express an opinion, the holiday should be moved back again to 1 May, in accordance with international practice, and to commemorate the Haymarket Square martyrs. Those who think that a corrupt police and judiciary are something new in the United States, should read up on this event, which occurred more than 130 years ago….
