You may be right, Dwayne, but black humour and ironic laughter are probably a better alternative than the suicide which a sober analysis of human affairs in these latter days – and, indeed, in earlier ones as well – might otherwise induce….
Even rats know to hoard food and nesting materials. Congressional Republicans, on the other hand, practice negative saving whether richer days lie ahead or not. True conservatism need not be correlated with current Republicanism in any way. The party has become contract corporate raiders, not against a commercial enterprise, but for the dissolution of the commons to for-profit entities. Humans need not serve any purpose other than commodification for profit.
